Sealife SL960D Digital External Flash Reefmaster Universal Digital Flash for Sealife, Canon, Sony, Olympus, Nikon and Others

Finally, a universal digital flash for all digital cameras.
Scuba divers know that a strobe is the most important accessory for sharp, colorful pictures. Water absorbs the red and yellow light spectrum resulting in blue pictures.
According to Scuba Diving Magazine, "While the number of available housings for digital point-and-shoot cameras has skyrocketed lately, there has been one remaining obstacle to taking great underwater photos with these small marvels: external strobe lighting. The built-in flashes on these cameras aren't powerful enough for subjects beyond three feet or so, and because they are so close to the lens, backscatter in inevitable. A separate strobe, stronger and farther from the lens is needed."
The powerful SeaLife Digital Flash causes the intense colors of coral and fish to "explode". Sealife's innovative new SL960D digital flash can mount on any housing that offers a standard tripod socket on the bottom. This flash features a clever articulated strobe arm and a fiber-optic cord that adheres to the housing with a special waterproof black-rubberized tape. The tape attaches the fiber-optic right in front of the camera's flash, and when the onboard flash fires, the tape blocks it from creating backscatter while allowing the fiber-optic cord to trip the external flash.
A continuously variable power dial on the back of the strobe allows the photographer to choose exactly the right amount of strobe power. This device is not only clever; it's a significant enhancement for point-and-shoot housed cameras.
